SCAA Gallery: Open Call to Artists

The Santa Clarita Artists Association (SCAA) runs a revolving calendar of themed fine‑art exhibitions in its historic storefront space in the Old Town Newhall Arts & Entertainment District. Active SCAA members with current dues may submit up to four original works per exhibition through the online form, paying a $20 entry fee per submission. Accepted media include oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, photography, ceramics, glass, wood, fiber, and sculpture; generative AI, video installations, giclée prints, and works with copyright issues are excluded. Artists must agree to display their work for sale, with SCAA retaining a 25 % commission, and to fulfill 3–4 docent hosting shifts (approximately three hours each) during the exhibition period. Selected works are exhibited for roughly one month, with a public opening reception and a “Best of Show” people’s choice ribbon. The upcoming “Sticks & Stones” exhibition accepts submissions until August 16 2026 11:59 PM, with drop‑off on September 1 and the show running September 4‑27.
