About This Opportunity

Stichting Stokroos invites emerging and established makers to apply for a three‑month intensive residency at Fundaziun Nairs in Scuol, Switzerland. The residency runs from July through September and includes full accommodation, meals, and an unrestricted living, travel and production budget of €7,000. Each year one maker is selected. Applicants must be active as visual artists, designers or craft practitioners, reside and work in the Kingdom of the Netherlands (including Caribbean parts) or Suriname for at least one year, be at least 21 years old, and have completed a higher professional bachelor’s or vocational programme (or be at the start of their practice) by 2022. Applicants must not be enrolled in any study or post‑academic programme during the residency and cannot apply as a duo or collective. The application (PDF portfolio, CV, project description, timeline and acknowledgment text) is submitted via an online form in Dutch or English. The form opens at 09:00 on the first day of the application period and closes after 40 eligible applications are received. Selections include an introductory interview with up to three candidates, and responses are given within eight weeks. Successful residents must acknowledge Stichting Stokroos in all communications and grant‑related materials.
