Queens Arts Fund
About This Opportunity

The Queens Arts Fund (QAF) New Work Grant, administered by the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), provides emerging individual artists and unincorporated artist collectives based in Queens with project‑based financial support ranging from $3,000 to $7,500. Applicants must be at least 18 years old by December 31, 2026, reside in Queens or maintain a full‑time studio lease there, and cannot be full‑time degree‑seeking students. The grant funds new work that has not been previously presented and must include a public component in Queens during the 2027 calendar year. Eligible expenses include artist fees, materials, equipment, venue rental, in‑state travel, marketing, and technical assistance. Applications open on September 22, 2026 and close on November 17, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET. Notification of award will be sent in Spring 2027, and funded projects may be carried out any time between January 1 and December 31, 2027. The program is open to all artistic disciplines and emphasizes community‑engaged projects that are free or low‑cost to the public.
