PSi#32, İstanbul, Türkiye, Call for Proposals

Performance Studies International (PSi), in partnership with Performistanbul and the İTÜ Faculty of Architecture, is calling for proposals for its 32nd conference, PSi#32, themed "MEYDAN" and scheduled for 15–19 September 2027 in Istanbul. The conference welcomes contributions from a wide range of disciplines within performance studies—including theatre, dance, live art, music, visual arts, anthropology, architecture, literary studies, sociology, cultural studies, philosophy, psychology, law, and the social sciences—as well as from undergraduate researchers. Submissions may be in English, Turkish, or other regional languages. The call is open to all PSi members; non‑members can register for a membership ($25 or $50) to submit. Proposals should include a title, abstract, author details, language(s), contact information, a brief bio, technical requirements, accessibility needs, and indicate whether the presentation will be online or in person. Accepted participants will receive a limited number of bursaries and awards, and the conference will provide opportunities for networking and travel support discussions. The conference will run for five days, from 15 to 19 September 2027, and will feature panels, papers, performances, workshops, and screenings.
