Goetz Media Art Prize 2026

The Kunststiftung Ingvild und Stephan Goetz, together with the Sammlung Goetz and the Academy of Fine Arts Munich, announces the fifth edition of the Goetz Media Art Prize. The award supports emerging media artists working in film, video or installation by providing a €5,000 production budget and a solo exhibition in the AkademieGalerie. Applicants must submit a short concept (max two manuscript pages), a cost calculation (the prize money is the maximum budget), a schedule (the work must be completed by July 2027), and a CV/portfolio. The prize is aimed at students who will finish their studies within six months and graduates up to two years after completing their studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich. Applications are submitted digitally by 20 November 2026. The winning work will be acquired by the Kunststiftung Ingvild und Stephan Goetz and must be realized within six months after the award. No application fee is required.

€5,000 production budget, exhibition in the AkademieGalerie, acquisition of the work by the Kunststiftung Ingvild und Stephan Goetz.

Open to final‑year students who will complete their studies within six months and to graduates up to two years after graduation of the Academy of Fine Arts Munich. Applicants outside this institution are not eligible.
