Prehistoric Exhibition Call for Artists – Columbus Arts Council
Columbus Arts Council
About This Opportunity
The Columbus Arts Council invites artists of all mediums to submit original works that explore the theme of prehistoric animals, dinosaurs, and fossils for its upcoming Prehistoric Exhibition, scheduled to run from September to October 2026. All submissions must be finished, framed or finished-edge, and include a hanging wire or saw‑tooth hanger. Artists are required to provide a short biography and artist statement, and must upload a minimum of five images of their work. Accepted artists will have their pieces displayed for approximately one to two months, with a gallery reception typically on the first Thursday of the scheduled month. Sales of exhibited works will be split 70/30, with the artist receiving 70% of net sales after tax and the council receiving 30%. Unsold works must be collected within five business days after the show ends. The call is open to all artists; there are no nationality, age, or residency restrictions.
