Own The Mic: Skill-Building Workshop

The final "Own the Mic" workshop of 2026, hosted by SCAPE at The TreeTop (L5) in Singapore, invites young aspiring emcees aged 15‑35 who already have hosting experience to develop confidence, improvisation, and script‑writing abilities. Over 24 and 25 October 2026, participants will engage in live hosting simulations, real‑world crisis scenarios, and hands‑on exercises led by professional host and radio DJ Joshua Simon, alongside a special industry guest. The programme aims to enhance stage presence, quick thinking, and audience engagement, culminating in a live hosting opportunity with feedback. Selected participants (20 total) will be notified by 17 October 2026 and may join SCAPE’s Youth Emcee Pool, opening pathways to future emcee roles at SCAPE events. No application fee is required; applicants must register by 16 October 2026 via the provided form. The workshop offers mentorship, industry insights, practical performance experience, and potential future gig opportunities, but does not provide accommodation or travel support.

Two‑day intensive workshop, mentorship from professional host Joshua Simon and industry guest, live hosting practice, feedback sessions, inclusion in SCAPE’s Youth Emcee Pool for future gigs.

Youth aged 15‑35 with prior hosting experience; must attend both days in person at SCAPE The TreeTop, L5, Singapore.
