About This Opportunity

Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) has launched the 'Creative Approaches to Work' programme, a pilot that partners with Venture Arts, ZU-UK, and VCFSE to support neurodivergent young adults (aged 18‑30) in moving closer to meaningful employment. The project includes three strands: developing neurodivergent creative practitioners, a six‑week creative readiness programme, and an employer learning programme to foster neuro‑inclusive workplaces. GMCA is now inviting applications for a Project Evaluator/Researcher to assess the pilot’s effectiveness and potential for scaling. The evaluation will examine outcomes for participants, practitioners, and employers, and will produce a final report, a plain‑English summary, and recommendations for future commissioning. Applicants should have relevant evaluation experience, expertise in research methodology, and a strong understanding of neurodiversity. The role is a contract position with a budget of up to £20,000, covering research costs and deliverables. The evaluation period runs from September 2026 to July 2027. Interested candidates should submit a brief CV, a statement of approach, and a budget outline by 5 pm on Wednesday 2 September 2026. For more details, see the brief PDF linked above.
