Operating Support Grants
City of Portland Office of Arts & Culture
About This Opportunity
The City of Portland’s Office of Arts & Culture has launched its Operating Support Grants program to provide essential, unrestricted funding to established nonprofit arts organizations based in Portland. The grant aims to strengthen the local arts ecosystem by supporting a wide range of high‑quality arts experiences for Portland residents. Eligible organizations must be recognized as 501(c)(3) nonprofits, have a minimum budget of $150,000, and demonstrate a three‑year history of providing arts and culture experiences in Portland. Grants will be awarded for two fiscal years (2026‑27 and 2027‑28) and range from $25,000 to $145,000 annually, with award amounts determined by organizational budget size and service to K‑12 students and underserved communities. Applications are submitted online via the City’s WebGrants portal; registration is required by September 4 and final applications must be received by noon on Friday, September 11, 2026. The program is funded through the Arts Access Fund and the City’s General Fund, and the next application cycle will open in summer 2028.
