About This Opportunity

The Kirloskar Art Grant, an initiative of the S. L. Kirloskar CSR Foundation, is an open‑call production grant for Indian lens‑based practitioners – photographers and moving‑image artists – who propose new visual projects that critically engage with sustainability, ecology, culture, heritage, community and social change. The grant is awarded annually to two recipients (one photographer and one moving‑image artist), each receiving a production grant of INR 5 lakh, of which up to 35 % may be allocated as an artist fee or honorarium. Selected projects are also offered exhibition opportunities at Kirloskar Group venues and other prominent locations across India. Applicants must be Indian citizens residing in India and may apply as individuals, duos or collectives. The grant period spans five months, with a project start date of 21 September 2026 and a completion deadline of 21 March 2027. Applications are submitted via email and must include a project proposal, artist statement, portfolio (5–10 images or videos), CV, detailed budget and timeline. The grant does not cover major equipment purchases such as cameras or laptops, but does allow consumables directly related to the project.
