Design Grant Scheme

The Design Grant Scheme, administered by Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie (Creative Industries Fund NL), supports projects that contribute to the quality, development or deepening of the design field. It targets professional designers, makers, artistic researchers, design agencies and cultural institutions active within design. The grant provides financial support ranging from €10,000 to €25,000 for single‑party projects and up to €50,000 for collaborative projects. Applications are submitted in two phases: a concise pre‑registration (Phase I) followed by a detailed proposal (Phase II). The scheme operates on a rolling basis, with new application rounds announced typically twice a year. No application fee is required. The fund is based in the Netherlands (operations in Rotterdam/The Hague). The grant is open to professional designers and related organisations, with projects expected to be carried out primarily in the Netherlands or the EU. The award consists of direct financial funding; no housing or travel support is provided.
