About This Opportunity

The Armenian Film Society London has opened an international open call for filmmakers to submit works in any genre and length that are either in Western Armenian or explore the language, culture, history, or lived experience of Western Armenian communities. Submissions may be any film completed between 2021 and 2026. A separate British Armenian Focus category accepts films by British Armenian creators completed after January 2025, supporting local talent. All entries must be subtitled in English and the applicant is responsible for copyright clearance. Selected films will premiere at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London during the Armenian Film Festival London (3–6 December 2026). The program includes filmmaker Q&As, panel discussions, a publication, a podcast series, and a public masterclass on poetry film. The call is supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Submissions are free and are accepted via FilmFreeway until 1 September 2026, with the official selection announced in mid‑September 2026.
