About This Opportunity
The Rubin Museum of Himalayan Art, a New York‑based institution dedicated to Himalayan art, is hiring a Senior Manager, Major Gifts. The role is part of a six‑member Development team and is responsible for developing and executing a major donor strategy, managing a portfolio of approximately 125+ donors and prospects, and supporting trustees and donors. Responsibilities include multiyear donor‑pool expansion, prospecting using wealth‑screening tools, creating engagement strategies, preparing fundraising materials, and overseeing campaign budgets. The position reports to the Director of Development and works closely with the Assistant Manager, Major Gifts & Institutional Philanthropy. Required qualifications are a bachelor’s degree (MA preferred), 7+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, expertise in major gifts, planned giving, and institutional philanthropy, and strong communication and management skills. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. Salary range is $110,000–$115,000 with a competitive benefits package, hybrid work arrangement (three days remote per week), and a required onsite day each Wednesday.
