About This Opportunity

The Bioart Society, in partnership with HIAP Helsinki International Artist Programme, is launching two distinct opportunities for artists. The first is a 12‑month fellowship for Finland‑based practitioners, offering a working grant of €1350 per month (€16,200 total) via the Kone Foundation, an access budget up to €1000, a research budget up to €2000, and full accommodation and workspace at HIAP Suomenlinna. The second is a 3‑month international residency for artists based outside Finland, providing a working grant of €1350 per month (€4,050 total), a material budget up to €750, an access budget up to €1000, accommodation and workspace, and support for one return trip to the artist’s home. Both calls aim to foster material research and cross‑disciplinary collaboration, with a focus on bioart, food, agriculture, social practice, technology, craft, and related fields. Applications are due by Monday 26 October 2026, 13:00 PM (GMT+3). Detailed criteria, application forms, and guidelines can be found on the HIAP website via the links above.
