Open Call for Artistic Research Proposals

Ecology, weather, and climate have always been integral in the lifestyles and cultures of many peoples across Vietnam. Vietnam’s landscapes—from the Mekong Delta to its rapidly urbanizing cities—are undergoing profound ecological shifts due to rising sea levels, extreme weather patterns, and environmental degradation. As part of a new initiative by the Goethe-Institut Ho Chi Minh City, this research grant aims to support artists interested in investigating how communities are impacted by these changes, as well as how indigenous knowledge systems, cultural practices, and everyday interactions with climate and weather have shaped ways of living, adapting, and creating.
