Open Call: Atelier Smedsby 2026–2027

Atelier Smedsby, founded by JH Engström and Margot Wallard, invites photographers to apply for its one‑year workshop programme for the 2026‑2027 edition. The programme consists of three intensive in‑person meetings in Paris, mentorship from the founders, and access to studio facilities. Applicants may be individual photographers, students seeking a complementary perspective, or professionals wishing to broaden their practice. The application requires a short CV, photo ID, a PDF of ten images, and a written presentation (minimum one A4 page). The workshop costs €3 900 (50 % deposit upon acceptance, remaining balance one week before the start). Travel and accommodation are not included. The first meeting takes place on 24‑25 October 2026. The deadline for applications is 7 September 2026.
