About This Opportunity
The Accessibility Academy is a core event of the Access Constellation project, organized by EUNIC Romania and nine partner cultural institutes. Running on 3–4 September 2026 in Bucharest, the two‑day programme offers workshops, discussions and networking for disabled artists, cultural workers, access advisors, researchers and activists. Participants will explore inclusive event organisation, deaf‑theatre practices, accessible built environments and strategies for supporting disabled creators. The Academy provides wheelchair‑accessible venues, quiet rooms, sensory aids and easy‑read materials. Applications are free and must be submitted via the Google Form by Sunday, 30 August 2026. The initiative aims to strengthen professional pathways for people with disabilities and foster collaborative, accessible cultural futures.
What's Offered
Two‑day training event, networking, accessibility provisions (wheelchair‑accessible venues, quiet room, sensory toys, easy‑read materials), English language with Romanian translation, sign language interpretation.
Restrictions
Open to disabled people working in or interested in the cultural sector, artists, cultural workers, managers, producers, curators, educators, journalists, disability rights advocates, and cultural institute staff. No formal qualifications required.
