Open Artist Call: Better Go South Xmas Show 2025 “Unwrapped”

BETTER GO SOUTH’s Rooftop Artist Residency is a new programme based in Stuttgart, Germany, designed for international artists who are not based in Germany. The residency offers a unique living and working environment: a 20 m² Tiny House on the gallery’s roof provides accommodation, while a separate atelier offers studio space. Over the residency period, artists are expected to develop a clear artistic concept and actively engage with the programme, culminating in a solo exhibition at the gallery. The programme includes support and networking opportunities, up to €1,000 in funding for materials, production and exhibition costs, and assistance with event organization, promotion, and catalogue creation. Applications are submitted by email with a PDF containing the proposed exhibition concept, artist statement, portrait, recent works, exhibition history, and contact details. The deadline for applications is 1 November 2026, with two available slots for 2027: Slot 1 (Jan/Feb–April) and Slot 2 (June/July–Sept).
