Olion //\ Traces – Four Artist Residencies & Commissions
Plas Bodfa Projects CIC
About This Opportunity
Olion //\ Traces is an artist residency and commission programme produced by Plas Bodfa Projects CIC, supported by the Arts Council of Wales and the Sustainable Development Fund. Four artists or creative teams will be paired with partner organisations – GeoMôn UNESCO Global Geopark, Heneb: The Trust for Welsh Archaeology, Red Squirrels Trust Wales and North Wales Rivers Trust – to develop new work through research, site visits and collaboration. The residency runs from late November 2026 through March 2027, with limited overnight accommodation available at Plas Bodfa where needed. Each artist receives a £1,500 fee, a £300 materials budget and up to £200 travel support, plus curatorial, installation and documentation assistance. The commissioned works will be presented at the Aberlleiniog Sculpture Trail on 20‑21 March 2027. Applications are open to artists and makers based in Wales, at any career stage, except students; collaborative groups are welcome. The deadline for all four open calls is 11 November 2026 (midnight). Selected artists will also take part in online work‑in‑progress sessions and a public film screening in May 2027.
