NOIS//E 2026 – Practices of Presence in the Post-Generative Age
About This Opportunity
NOIS//E 2026 is an interdisciplinary cultural and curatorial project taking place in Milan in November 2026, hosted at the iconic Fondazione Sozzani and Villa Litta. The programme seeks works that restore value to presence, physicality, listening, materiality, and situated experience in a technologically saturated context. Artists, composers, performers, filmmakers, dancers, visual artists, researchers and interdisciplinary practitioners of all ages and nationalities are invited to submit projects across five thematic categories: sound and live electronics, audiovisual and moving image, installation and immersive practices, expanded arts (matter, body, image, space), and research papers or talks. Submissions are free and must include a project proposal PDF, technical sheet, short biography, and supporting documentation (audio, video, images, scores, or abstracts). The deadline for applications is 5 September 2026, with results announced on 1 October 2026. Selected works will be presented in the official programme of NOIS//E 2026, and outstanding artists may be considered for a future residency in Calabria in May 2027. Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and transport costs.
