About This Opportunity
NAMARA | projects Curators' Studio invites independent curators based in the Greater Toronto Area to apply for a live‑out curatorial residency in Toronto. The residency focuses on research and curatorial production, offering a fixed stipend of $2,000 CAD to support the resident’s time and engagement. Participants receive mentorship and curatorial dialogue with NAMARA’s team, project‑support funding for programming, events, exhibitions, and publications, and professional exposure through the organization’s website, newsletters, and social media. The program is flexible, allowing residents to structure their work around their own timelines and project scopes, and may include an exhibition component. Applicants must submit a proposal outlining their curatorial and research interests, demonstrate readiness to conduct research through study and practice, and may be prioritized if their interests align with NAMARA’s business offerings. The residency is live‑out, so residents do not reside on‑site, and housing is not provided. The application deadline is 31 August 2026, with successful applicants notified by 31 January 2027.
