Microbe Art Contest
About This Opportunity
The Microbe Art Contest is an international competition organized by the International Microorganism Day (IMD) community. It encourages artists, scientists, and enthusiasts to create and share artworks inspired by microbiology, ranging from images, photographs, paintings, videos, animations, cartoons, to petri dish creations. Entries must be original and AI‑generated designs are disqualified. Participants submit their work via social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) by tagging @IntMicroDay and using the hashtag #InternationalMicroorganismDay, or by email if they lack a social media account. The contest opens to all and runs until the submission deadline of 10 September 2026. Winners are selected by the FEMS and IMD team and announced on 17 September 2026. Winning artworks will be showcased on the IMD website and may be used in promotional materials for the following year.
