Lane Community College- Science, Math and Engineering Building

Lane Community College (LCC) in Eugene, Oregon, is inviting established artists to submit proposals for a site‑specific public art commission for its new Science, Math and Engineering Building (Building 16). The commission seeks a mural or large‑scale sculpture that will enhance the building’s “Science on Display” theme and serve as a focal point in the central hallway and south entrance. The project budget is $85,000, which covers all costs of creation, including labor, materials, equipment, insurance, travel, and documentation. Artists may be based locally or nationally; the call is open to all disciplines and requires a letter of interest, resume, up to ten recent work samples, and an image identification list. Submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 31, 2026. The selected artist will complete the work by Fall 2027. The commission is a one‑time, non‑recurring call with no rolling submissions.
