Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Opens Fourth Global Digital Art Competition
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week
About This Opportunity
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), the flagship sustainability event hosted by Masdar, is launching its fourth Global Digital Art Competition. The open call targets digital artists aged 18 and older from any country. Participants may submit static, moving‑image, interactive, generative, immersive or web‑based works that engage with the 2027 theme “Securing Systems. Sustaining Growth.” Submissions can address any of the five thematic pillars: Future Energy Systems; Advanced Technology and AI; Water, Food and Resource Security; Investment and Infrastructure; Human Development and Prosperity. Artists must disclose any AI, generative or creative‑coding tools used and explain their role. A distinguished jury—including Dyala Nusseibeh (director of Frieze Abu Dhabi), Kawthar Bin Sulayem (founder & CEO of District1795), Hamad Al Shamsi, Anna Magritskaya, Khawla Abou Saleh and Diaa Allam—will evaluate entries on concept, artistic vision, originality, impact, representation and accessibility. One winner and two finalists will be announced on 13 January 2027 during ADSW 2027, with their works showcased at the event, providing significant exposure to a global audience of policymakers, investors and cultural leaders. The competition is free to enter and runs until 16 November 2026. It is part of ADSW’s Arts and Culture programme and is organized in partnership with District1795.
