Kinhouse Open Door: 2027 Exhibition & Residency Open Call

Kinhouse Open Door is an annual call for solo, two-person, and three-person exhibitions that invites emerging and mid-career artists and curators to propose work for display in the Kinhouse gallery in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Selected proposals will be part of the 2027 programming year and will include a fully funded six‑night residency at the Kinhouse Residency, located a short drive from the gallery. The residency is fully paid, providing artists with studio space, accommodation, and support during the exhibition opening. Applicants must submit a proposal and a $34 application fee (non‑refundable). The call welcomes all art mediums, including installations, performances, and site‑specific work, and encourages themes of community, care, belonging, the domestic, parenting, craft, and lineage. The deadline is October 18, 2026, 11:59 pm ET. Selected artists will receive communication and support leading up to the exhibition, installation support, promotion and marketing across Kinhouse platforms, and professional documentation of the show. Shipping of works is the responsibility of the artist, and travel expenses are not covered.
