Denver, United States
Colorado Photographic Arts Center
Deadline: September 16, 2026

About This Opportunity

Learn the magic of black and white film development in this hands-on darkroom workshop at CPAC. Designed for students of all levels, this course will guide you through the entire process of developing black and white film—from loading your reel to hanging your negatives to dry. You’ll gain a solid understanding of the materials and chemistry involved, explore popular black and white film stocks, and learn how to create well-exposed images in-camera to get the most out of your negatives. Each student will expose one roll of black and white film, help mix the chemistry, and develop their film under the guidance of the instructor. By the end of the class, you’ll have the confidence and knowledge to process film independently in the CPAC darkroom. No prior experience is necessary!
