Helsinki residency – Saastamoinen Foundation
About This Opportunity
Saastamoinen Foundation’s Helsinki residency provides a fully equipped 80 m² apartment in the heart of the city for artists and scientists to work, network and explore the Finnish art and research scene. The two‑bedroom space includes a kitchen, bathroom, separate toilet, Wi‑Fi, presentation technology and laundry facilities. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for projects lasting 1–3 months, or for shorter expert visits of 1–4 weeks (e.g. curators, visiting lecturers). The residency is closed during July for summer holidays. Applicants must be part of a Saastamoinen‑supported university programme, a partner in an art or science project, or an organisation with a Finnish business ID (Y‑tunnus) applying on behalf of a guest. Individual guests cannot apply on their own. The programme offers accommodation, studio space, Wi‑Fi, laundry and presentation equipment; no stipend or travel support is provided.
Restrictions
Artists, scientists, curators, researchers, university programmes and organisations with a Finnish business ID (Y‑tunnus) are eligible to apply. Individual guests cannot apply on their own behalf.
