Hassloch Kindergarten Public Art Competition

The Gemeinde Haßloch invites professional visual artists to submit proposals for a public art commission (Kunst am Bau) for the new kindergarten at Müller‑Thurgau‑Straße 24 in Haßloch, Germany. The competition consists of an open first stage (deadline 28 Oct 2026, 11:00) followed by a non‑open second stage (deadline 15 Jan 2027). The total prize fund is €70,000 (brutto), covering the artist’s fee, material, production and installation costs. Selected participants in the second stage receive an additional honorarium of €1,000 (brutto). No application fee is required. Applicants must provide proof of professional status (e.g., art degree, membership in a recognized artists’ association, KSK membership, prior public art work, or three exhibition records) together with a portfolio, CV and project proposal. The competition language is German. The winning design will be realized on site, with utilities (electricity, water) provided, and the artwork must be completed by August 2027. All rights remain with the artist, but the municipality may use images for documentation without additional remuneration.

Open to professional visual artists (individuals or groups). Must prove professional status via CV, degree, association membership, KSK membership, prior public art work, or three exhibitions. German language required. Students, municipal staff, jury members and their representatives excluded.
