About This Opportunity

The Finnish Cultural Foundation’s Grants for Artists' Residencies Program offers a range of fully funded residency opportunities for Finnish and Finland‑based artists worldwide. The program provides a working grant, a travel grant, and an optional expenditure grant to cover living costs, travel, and project expenses. Applications are accepted in the August round, with the 2026 deadline set for 31 August 2026. Eligible applicants include all Finnish nationals and those residing or operating in Finland, as well as non‑Finnish artists with clear ties to Finland or Finnish culture. Applicants under 15 must be represented by a guardian. The residency placements vary in duration from two weeks to five months and are hosted by partner institutions across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Accommodation is organized by the residency host, and artists receive mentorship and studio or workspace support. The program aims to foster international artistic exchange and professional development for Finnish artists.
