Friction‑maxxing Art Competition 2026 invites artists of all disciplines to respond to the prompt “Friction‑maxxing is a labour of love,” a concept that encourages embracing friction as a path to resilience. The competition is open to all artists worldwide, regardless of age, status, or medium. Participants may submit individual or team entries, provided the work is original, not monetized elsewhere, and does not contain AI‑generated or AI‑assisted content. Submissions must be no longer than five minutes and may be uploaded via Google Drive, Dropbox, or any publicly accessible URL. The competition offers a total prize pool of $30,000 USD, with first, second, third, and people’s choice awards of $15,000, $8,000, $4,000, and $3,000 respectively. Winning and shortlisted entries will be showcased on the Be Still Media website and other platforms. The deadline for submissions is 30 September 2026, with winners announced on 1 November 2026.
