About This Opportunity

The Music Development Office (MDO) Project Support Grants (PSGs) provide funding of up to AUD 15,000 to support South Australian musicians, songwriters, producers, artist managers (on behalf of artists) and music‑related businesses (recording studios, promoters, record labels, booking agents, live venues, etc.) to develop new original music or strengthen music‑industry operations. Two streams are offered: Stream A – Creative Development for recording and performance projects, and Stream B – Business Development for studio, promotion, label and venue initiatives. Applications for the October 2026 round open on Tuesday 6 October 2026 at 10 am and close on Wednesday 4 November 2026. Applicants must be based in South Australia and work within the contemporary original music sector. The grant is free to apply (no submission fee). Successful applicants receive a cash award of up to AUD 15,000, with the amount determined by project scope and budget. The program includes an online information session (13 Oct 2026) and provides guidance through program guidelines and FAQs. Applications are submitted via an external SmartyGrants portal. Notification to all applicants occurs in mid‑December 2026.
