Frappant Open Call 2027

The Frappant e.V. calls for exhibition concepts for the Frappant Galerie, a non‑commercial exhibition space in Hamburg‑Altona, for the year 2027. The call is open to professional artists, curators, designers, architects and activists who can demonstrate a qualified artistic or curatorial practice. Applications must propose a group exhibition involving at least three artistic positions; solo shows are excluded. Interdisciplinary, genre‑crossing, and transregional projects, especially those with feminist, queer or critical perspectives, are especially welcomed. Selected projects will be presented in three physical rooms (≈140 m² total) and the digital “Der Vierte Raum”. Frappant provides curatorial guidance, public‑relations support, networking opportunities and technical assistance. The exhibition can run for one, two or three weekends, with the artists responsible for supervision. Applications are submitted as a single PDF (max 10 MB) by 17 August 2026. The selection will be announced in September 2026, with final confirmation pending funding approval expected in December 2026.
