About This Opportunity

The Texas Film Commission is seeking a local editor in Austin, TX, to work on an experimental short documentary (22‑minute cut) for an award‑winning filmmaker. The role is a paid, part‑time temporary gig (approximately 4 hours per day) beginning on August 12 2026. Responsibilities include clean sound editing, music licensing, cutting scenes, creating a 1‑2 minute trailer, uploading cuts and final versions to Vimeo for notes, and developing a basic website for the film. The editor must be proficient in sound & picture editing, Vimeo uploads, and basic website development, and be able to take direction while offering creative input.
