About This Opportunity

LABoral Centre for Art and Industrial Creation (Gijón, Spain) invites artists and artistic collectives to undertake one of the six residencies of the European Hybrid Intelligence Network (EHIN). The call, open until 4 December 2026, targets creators interested in exploring hybrid intelligence arising from non‑human living systems such as plants, fungi, microorganisms and animals. Selected residents receive priority access to LABoral’s facilities, curatorial and production support, accommodation, and travel support within EU limits, as well as a production budget of up to €25,000. The residency lasts almost twelve months (February 2027 – January 2028) and includes a trip to another EHIN venue, participation in Open Dirty Lab sessions, and a final exhibition at the host institution and a group show at ZKM in Germany. Applications are submitted online via the provided form and must be accompanied by the official guide. Eligibility is limited to residents or tax residents of EU Member States or eligible non‑EU countries, and each applicant may apply to only one host institution.
