About This Opportunity

Fondazione Pistoletto Cittadellarte, in partnership with UNIDEE Residency Programs and UniCredit Group, is launching the third edition of the "Ecosystems as Living Communities" open call. The program offers two production residencies for emerging international artists working with socially engaged practices that address contemporary ecological issues. The residencies run from December 2026 to April 2027 at Cittadellarte in Biella, Italy, and culminate in a public exhibition of the final artworks, which will become part of the UniCredit Art Collection. Applicants must be emerging or mid‑career artists across disciplines (design, architecture, fashion, music, film, etc.) and must be available for the full residency period. The call requires a project proposal, portfolio, and CV, all submitted in English via an online form by 6 September 2026. Selected artists receive a gross fee of €6,500, a production budget of €2,500, travel and research travel budget up to €1,000‑1,500, accommodation in a single room with shared facilities, a per diem of €25 per day for up to 60 days, and a research budget of €500. Technical support for exhibition installation, communication, and publication is provided by Cittadellarte.
