Digital Weaving Residency – Textile Center Højer
Textile Center Højer
About This Opportunity
The Digital Weaving Residency at Textile Center Højer provides artists, designers and weavers with access to two professional TC2 digital jacquard looms (ALFA and BETA) in a dedicated workshop environment. Residents work independently on their own projects, benefiting from a spacious studio, cleaning service, and refreshments during open house events. Accommodation is not provided directly but the centre collaborates with nearby facilities offering affordable rooms within walking distance. The programme welcomes both established and recently graduated practitioners who have prior experience with TC2 looms, including the preparation of design files and loom operation. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis; applicants submit a short project description, preferred residency period, and details of their TC2 experience via email. The residency supports the development of woven artworks, research, large‑scale textile projects, and related outputs such as exhibitions or publications. Flexible residency lengths range from one week up to three to four months, depending on the artist’s needs and availability. The centre is located in the historic town of Højer, near the Wadden Sea in Southern Denmark, offering a quiet, inspiring landscape for creative work.
