About This Opportunity

The Friends of Polish Art presents its 30th Fine Arts Competition in partnership with the Polish Institute of Culture & Research at Orchard Lake. The competition runs from the intake of artworks on August 22, 2026, to an exhibition at the PICROL Galeria from September 12 to October 24, 2026. Artists 18 years or older may submit up to five original works in any 2‑D or 3‑D medium that have not been previously shown in the competition. An entry fee of US$30 (US$10 for college students) is required. Submissions are judged in person, with digital images required for each work. Awards include Best in Show ($500), First ($400), Second ($300), Third ($200), Best Polish Theme ($400), and three Honorable Mentions ($100 each). A 40 % commission is retained on any sales made during the exhibition. The competition provides exhibition space, publicity, and the opportunity for artists to speak about their work at the opening ceremony. Artists are responsible for transporting, installing, and later retrieving their artworks; no housing or travel support is offered. The event is open to artists of all backgrounds, with the only restrictions being age (18+) and originality of the work.
