Dar Meso Artist Residency

Dar Meso is an international artist residency located in Bab Souika, Tunis, Tunisia. Founded in 2019, the residency welcomes both professional and emerging artists for periods of flexible length, offering a tranquil environment that includes private rooms with storage, personal workspaces, a shared co‑working space in a renovated chapel, and a fully equipped ceramics workshop. The historic house also provides two kitchens, bathrooms, a garden with fruit trees, and a rooftop overlooking the medina, fostering contemplation and cultural exchange. Applications are submitted by email (info@darmeso.com) with a résumé, cover letter, arrival date and desired duration. The residency is free of charge and includes accommodation; travel support is not mentioned. Various programmes, such as the Writing Residency (September‑November 2024) and specialised sound labs, are announced on the site, but the open call remains ongoing for future residencies.
