Convocatoria Arte y Cultura - Ecuadorenlaantartida

The Institute of Oceanography and Antarctic of the Navy (INOCAR) through the General Coordination of Antarctic Affairs, has among its attributions and responsibilities “the execution of the logistical, scientific, and dissemination programs, art and culture that form the Ecuadorian Antarctic expeditions. With the objective of fulfilling the institutional mission of executing expeditions that promote the geopolitical and oceanopolitical projection of Ecuador in Antarctica, this Institute has the pleasure of inviting the community of art and communication to participate in the call for proposals for research projects, artistic creation and communication for the XXIX Ecuadorian Antarctic Expedition (2025-2026). The Call “Antártida – Polo Sur: research residence, artistic creation and dissemination”, has two components: 1. a) Research and artistic creation. 2. b) Research and communication creation. Four (04) slots will be selected for the Expedition XXIX (2025-2026), two (02) slots per component. In the Call, priority will be given to proposals focused on: * * Ecological-geopolitics * Anthropocentrism-bioceno, * Climate change, * Effects of global warming and climate influences; * Rights and defense of nature, * Importance of Antarctica in the planet Earth. * Other priorities of the Convocation I+D+i 2025 (Pág. 9, item 3.3 of the Bases) It is worth noting that, the project proposals must be linked to one of the 6 research axes proposed by INOCAR, which are detailed in the generalities section (page 9) of the Convocation Bases attached.
