Open call for screening in Mexico City / New York

Experimental Cinema invites filmmakers working in experimental moving image to submit works for a dual‑city screening program in Mexico City and New York. The call seeks films that explore the materiality of the film surface and its relationship to space, encouraging works that either turn image into space or space into image. Submissions are free of charge and open to creators of any age, nationality or career stage. Selected works will be programmed for public screenings in both cities, offering exposure to international audiences and inclusion in Experimental Cinema’s curated program. The deadline for submissions is Thursday, October 15, 2026. No fees, stipends, or travel support are provided.
