About This Opportunity
Content Vienna 2026 – Competition For Digital Design is organised by the Vienna Business Agency (Wirtschaftsagentur Wien) to support creative digital projects that are still in development. Applicants may submit prototypes, demo versions or concepts in areas such as games, AR/VR, animation, 360° video, interactive narratives, web and mobile apps, blockchain/Web3, digital publishing platforms, wearable IT, AI, machine learning and quantum computing. A special focus is placed on Digital Design for Health. Submissions are assessed by an independent jury on creative quality, innovation potential, team qualification, implementation planning, cost estimate and project impact. The competition offers up to five production grants of €10,000 each, a €10,000 special prize for Digital Design for Health, and additional travel grants of up to €1,500 plus an SXSW 2027 ticket worth over €1,200. Women‑led projects may receive an extra €1,000 bonus. The call is free to enter and aims to strengthen Vienna as a hub for innovative digital media.
Restrictions
Applicant must have residence, registered office or business in Vienna, or the project must be developed/produced in Vienna, or Vienna must be a significant reference point. Open to adult natural persons, entrepreneurs, legal entities (studios, startups, companies, associations). One project per applicant.
