Company Manager

Jiva Performing Arts, a New York City organization dedicated to Indian classical music and dance, is hiring a Company Manager as an independent contractor (1099) on a part‑time basis (approximately eight hours per week). The role, based primarily in NYC with remote work and occasional in‑studio meetings, runs from mid‑September through mid‑December 2026 with the possibility of continuation. Responsibilities include researching and outreach to venues and presenters, assembling presenter packets, supporting grant writing and fundraising campaigns, managing communications such as newsletters and social media, handling administrative tasks, and contributing to strategic planning. The position offers an hourly rate of $25 USD and is intended to grow into a Managing Director role. Candidates should have 1–3 years of experience in arts administration, development, or communications, be strong writers, versatile, and comfortable shifting focus weekly.
