Collaborative Printmaking Residency - Fall/Winter 2026-2027
Obee Editions
About This Opportunity
Obee Editions offers a collaborative artist residency focused on the creation of original fine‑art printmaking projects. Artists work one‑on‑one with Tamarind Master Printer Perry Obee, who handles the technical aspects of printing while the artist leads all aesthetic and conceptual decisions. The residency provides an immersive studio experience emphasizing experimentation, translation, and collaboration through processes such as lithography, monotype, relief, chine collé, digital processes, artist books, and hybrid approaches. Artists working in any medium are encouraged to apply; prior printmaking experience is welcome but not required. The program is open to artists worldwide at any career stage, and teams may apply. Residencies are scheduled on a rolling basis, with a three‑day minimum and up to two weeks of studio time. Fees are project‑dependent, ranging from $325 per day to $3,000 for a two‑week residency. No housing is provided, and artists arrange their own travel and lodging, though the studio can offer local recommendations and letters of support for external funding. The residency includes access to a fully equipped printmaking shop with lithography studio, light tables, washout rooms, specialized equipment, and shared studio spaces.
