Chateau d'Orquevaux Artists & Writers Residency

The Château d'Orquevaux International Artists & Writers Residency in Orquevaux, France, offers a two‑week, on‑site residency for visual artists (including watercolor and oil painting) and creative writers. The program is open to all artists over the age of 18, regardless of nationality. Applicants submit their work by 31 December 2026; there is no application fee. All accepted artists receive the Denis Diderot Grant, which subsidises a portion of the residency attendance fee, and a selection of participants may also be awarded an Emerging Artist Grant. The residency provides accommodation in the chateau’s guesthouses, studio space, and a supportive environment for creation. Housing is included, and the residency is physically based in Orqueaux, France.
