The Ceramic Symposium Meteora is a 12‑day residency (11 overnight stays) held in the village of Kastraki, at the foot of the UNESCO‑listed Meteora rock formations in Central Greece. The program welcomes ceramicists and sculptors of all levels—from emerging to established—who are interested in working with stoneware clay and exploring raku firing techniques. Participants receive 10 kg of stoneware clay, all ceramic tools, kiln access, and raku firing materials, as well as a private room with a private bathroom in one of the guesthouses. Breakfast is provided daily, and a full‑day guided bus tour of the Meteora UNESCO site is included. The residency culminates in a group exhibition at the Geological Museum, where each artist’s work is displayed. The program is open to artists worldwide and has no age or nationality restrictions. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with no application fee. The participation fee is €2,780 per person, which covers accommodation, materials, and the guided tour. The residency is organized by Eutopia Art, a residency and art‑programming organization based in Greece.
The residency offers a unique opportunity to work in a landscape that inspires patience and experimentation, with daily workshops led by Maro Theodorou and Efi Drougka. Participants are encouraged to develop their personal artistic practice through collaborative experimentation and guided practice.
