About This Opportunity
The Centre International d’Art et du Paysage (CIAPV) on Vassivière Island in central France is a research‑focused residency that invites artists, researchers, and interdisciplinary teams to explore the landscape, history, and culture of the island. The program runs for four months and is open to artists of all disciplines, with a particular emphasis on projects that engage with the environment and public participation. Residents receive fully equipped accommodation in the castle’s apartments, shared studio space in the château, a stipend, and access to a vehicle for local travel. Technical and material support is provided by the CIAPV team, and participants are expected to present a talk, performance, workshop, or other public engagement during their stay. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with no fixed deadline, and the residency is currently open for new applicants.
