About This Opportunity
The City of Encinitas, in partnership with Encinitas Friends of the Arts, is seeking qualified mural artists from Southern California to create a large‑scale public artwork for the Encinitas Skate Park (POODS). The project will be a permanent, site‑specific mural that enhances the skate park environment and engages the community. Applications open on 1 October 2026 and must be submitted by 20 November 2026. Interested artists should review the Request for Qualifications document for detailed project requirements, budget information, and selection criteria. Submissions are made through an online SurveyMonkey form. The commission offers public visibility, city support for fabrication and installation, and the opportunity to contribute a lasting artwork to a high‑traffic community space.
