About This Opportunity
The UNIMA Commission for Training and Research invites puppeteers, scholars and practitioners to apply for a Practice as Research Residency in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, scheduled for November 2026. Selected artists will spend two to three weeks developing a practice‑based research project linked to puppetry or object theatre. The residency provides accommodation in a local homestay, workspace, materials, and mentoring through Ivoire Marionnettes. While travel funding is sought, applicants are expected to secure their own mobility support. The residency can start any time between 1 November and 8 November 2026 and coincides with the RIMA Festival, offering the chance to share work at a festival forum.
