Call for Applications: Artistic Research Residency and Grant for a Project Related to the Archives of International Organisations in Geneva
Embassy of Foreign Artists
About This Opportunity
The Embassy of Foreign Artists (EOFA) partners with the Centre for Digital Humanities and Multilateralism at the Geneva Graduate Institute to offer a three‑month artistic research residency in Geneva, Switzerland. Applicants are asked to develop projects that re‑interpret archival resources from international organisations such as the UN Archives Geneva or the International Committee of the Red Cross. The residency provides accommodation in a private room, a monthly stipend of CHF 1,400, artistic guidance, and access to the archives and institutional contacts. Applicants must be professional artists over 28 years old, not enrolled in basic training, fluent in French or English, and willing to cover their own travel and production costs. The call accepts individual, duo, or group applications, though the stipend remains the same per participant. The deadline for applications is 15 September 2026, with successful candidates announced on 10 October 2026. The residency will commence in 2027 at a mutually agreed date. The program is open to artists across disciplines, including visual arts, performance, music, literature, and design, and aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue between art and the history of international diplomacy.
