Open Call at Vermont Studio Center

Vermont Studio Center (VSC) in Johnson, Vermont offers an open call for visual artists and writers to apply for two‑, three‑ or four‑week residency sessions. The application period runs from August 15, 2026 at 08:00 am to September 30, 2026 at 05:00 pm. Applicants must be 21 years or older; the call is open to international artists and writers. All residents receive a private studio, a private room in shared housing, three daily meals, and access to a Visiting Artist and Writer program, resident presentations, and open studios. VSC awards full fellowships (covering the full program cost, roughly US$12,000) to about 40 % of residents and partial fellowships to all accepted applicants. Partial‑fellowship participants pay session fees of US$2,700 (2 weeks), US$3,825 (3 weeks) or US$4,950 (4 weeks), with a 10 % discount for shared‑bathroom arrangements.
